More Animal Print...OOTN

Hello Everyone!
Sorry for the lack of updates my laptop is currently in the shop getting fixed :( so I'm stuck with my desktop which isn't the best.
This outfit is from a night out with friends before Christmas. We had a potluck and Christmas gift swap. Once again I am wearing animal print. This outfit was inspired by an outfit I saw Kim Kardashian wearing on an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

I hope to update more frequently!

Style by Lauren Conrad Book Review

For months fashion mavens and Lauren Conrad fans were counting down the days for Lauren Conrad to finally release her style book Style by Lauren Conrad. How could we not be excited for this book after Lauren's perfectly polished outfits and clothing line at Kohl's.
I bought Style awhile ago, but hadn't had the time to read due to university. Finally I decided to give it a read after waiting two months after I bought it.
Lauren looks gorgeous on the cover. The high fashion bun is a great choice for the cover as it is glam but not over the top and it allows us to be drawn to her face. Lauren's make-up is perfect for a very clean fresh look. Her signature cat lined eyes definitely draw attention. She finishes the look off with a peach blush and lipstick.

The book is very high quality. The whole book is in color. The pages are very thick and I really liked the fonts and colors Lauren used. The book is split into three sections: Fashion, Beauty and Lifestyle. Overall, I found the content of the book to be very common sense. I didn't really learn anything new. My favourite thing was probably the pictures of Lauren's outfits. All of them were super cute. I also learned a few tips about posing for pictures,make-up and packing. The guide at the back was very handy for finding out the designers and brands of the clothes Lauren wore in the book.
(Outfit I have channeled myself)
(Pretty Shoes)
( Casual vs. Dressed Up Versions)
(Stunning Dress)

Overall, I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking to update their wardrobe and wanting to learn how to dress more stylish. It's the perfect guide! It is also nice for those who just want a quick read on fashion. Do not expect to find anything revolutionary. I think Lauren did a decent job on assembling this book. The presentation is great, but the content falls a little short. I still do however, admire Lauren's style and I hope she continues to write. (i'm addicted to her L.A. Candy series)

What did everyone think of Style by Lauren Conrad?

xoxo Jazz

First Snow

Today was the first snow. I'm not a big fan of winter at all. I prefer summer days with lot's of sunshine. The snow today made me realize how much I enjoyed Summer 2010. It was perfect: tanning, World Cup, lazy mornings, zumba, sunshine, friends I couldn't ask for a more better summer. I posted some new pictures today of my outfit. Please excuse the quality of the photographs I recruited my 13 year old brother to take them. Props to him tho for taking them! <3

At first we tried to take some pictures outside but it was just so cold and they were coming out blurry. Here's one of the outside pictures.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Last Night I went to an early screening at 7:15 for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I was so excited to see the last movie. I have been an avid Harry Potter since I was 11. My favourite character is Draco Malfoy. The movie was very entertaining I was little upset about the lack of Jamie Campbell Bower in the first half. A death of a certain character made me choke up a little,a couple scenes had me jumping in my seat, and a few had me chuckling at the cheesiness. Overall it was a great movie and I cannot wait for the second part.
I thought I would take some pictures of my outfit from last night:
Skirt:Forever 21
Black Shirt with Tie:Charlotte Russe
Peacock Earrings: Forever 21
Peacock Locket:Forever 21
Black Leggings:Urban Planet
Black Wedges:Urban Originals

Have you guys seen Harry Potter? What was your favourite part?

Sorry everyone I haven't posted lately. Once again, i've been swamped with school work. I have however, had a little time to shop. I bought a new Camera which should be in on Monday so starting Monday I will be posting some outfit posts.

Here are some of my recent purchases:

Beats by Dre Solos

I love listening to music so I thought I would cave in and finally buy some beats. Every celebrity/athlete seems to have a pair. I heard they create an amazing sound so i'm really excited to listen to music with them.

Bamboo Wedge Booties

I bought these cute booties. Wedges are really in right now so I wanted to buy a pair, I'm excited for these to come in the mail.

Stay tuned on Monday for some outfit posts!

Anne Hathaway

Sorry I haven't been updating lately. I have been absolutely swamped with essays and midterms. So in the next few weeks if I do not update as much it is only because I am writing papers.

Anne Hathaway is one of my favourite actresses. I really liked her in the Princess Diaries movies and The Devil Wears Prada. The Devil Wears Prada is one of my favourite movies ever!

When I looked at her editorials for US Vogue the November issue, it was confirmed just how stunning she is. Anne is definitely a classic beauty.

This is one of my favourite pictures from Anne's Editorial. I love it because it reminds me of another classic beauty... Audrey Hepburn.

Anne and the dreamy Jake Gyllenhaal's new movie is coming out soon so be sure to check that out.

Toodles for now!

Hi Everyone

I thought I would finally make an outfit post. I am in the process of buying a camera, so my Mom's friend took a picture of my outfit. I wore this outfit yesterday to school. I was doing a group presentation in front of my class so I wanted to look trendy and presentable. Excuse the quality of the photo. I promise my next pictures will be in better quality. Also excuse my hair and make-up I didn't have time to freshen up.

Fashion Inspired by Kanye West's Runaway

On October 23rd Kanye West premiered his new short film Runaway.
While the acting was cheesy in some parts I really enjoyed it.
I really liked the filming effect used (not sure what it's called but if you know please let me know), some of the songs used and the symbolism. Overall I thought Kanye West and the gorgeous Selita Ebanks did a great job. After watching the film I was inspired by some of the scenes so I thought why not make a blog post about it. Here are some of the scenes that inspired me:

One of my favourite scenes was the ballet performance scene. The ballerina trend is quite popular right now. Many designers and stores have been carrying tutu-like mesh skirts and bodysuits. These are some pieces inspired by the Ballet Scene

ASOS Asymmetric Hem Tutu Skirt

Juicy Couture Ruffle Bodysuit

Kanye has a true passion for fashion. He is always pushing the boundaries with his choice of clothing and adores high fashion. In the video he kept it classy by wearing a bow-tie, a black and white tuxedo jacket and loafers. Though the pieces were quite simple they worked in his benefit and fitted in with the visuals of the film.

Joseph Sir Smoking Wool Jacket- Net A Porter

Charlotte Russe Pleated Paperbag Pant

Selita Ebanks played an excellent phoenix. She looked gorgeous. I must give props to the make-up artist who did a phenomenal job. Though Selita was not heavily clothed, she did provide some outfit inspiration. Feathers are quite heavily in so I found some pieces that reminded me of the phoenix.

Topshop Feather Gilet

Topshop Horn Button Tapered Trousers

Topshop Feather Headpiece

In case you haven't watched the video you can watch it now!

Did you like the Runaway video?
What was your favourite scene?
I Look Forward to Hearing What You Think!
